The Stig, in time warning for radar and laser detection

The acronym STIG is short for: “Strahlung Informations Geraet” (Radiation information device), it measures all electromagnetic radiation around your vehicle. In fact, we mean “electro smog”. For example, if you are stuck in a traffic jam and the STIG reacts very intensively, you can be sure that you are located in a very unhealthy area. The STIG is a necessary accessory for each car driver in Europe. The STIG is THE detector alerting the driver when approaching an “unhealthy area”. When the police use radar equipment or a laser gun for speed control, the STIG will give a signal. Also, when fixed radar detection devices (Gatso) are switched on, the STIG will react, as this is known to be unhealthy.
The STIG is produced in Korea and modified in Germany for the European market. Extensive testing proved that the STIG cannot be detected by police equipment.
The STIG is no radar- or laser detector, it measures radiation only. The fact that Police Radar and Laser equipment are also detected is an additional advantage.
After a very successful start of the European sales of the STIG in the Netherlands on 1 July 2009, the STIG is now also available in the UK. The list price is USA: $999 / UK: £634 ex. tax. The STIG is delivered with a 12 Volt adaptor and a window connection. There is a 12 month warrantee.
Practical information The STIG is a mobile device and is within easy reach on the dashboard. The STIG can be used in most vehicles. When you want to compare the STIG with other radar detectors, the best comparison is with the Stinger or the Bel STi-R (independently tested by AST).
